Hi, we are Isabel van der Ven and Dr Jo Lee, the founders of LYLAC and both love the work we do.
We have very different backgrounds and have both experienced cancer and experienced the gap in after-care.
Jo (right) works as a GP and Isabel (left) has an engineering background. We’re both qualified Life Coaches and work together with our different skills and experiences.
We started meeting in 2008 with just an idea and a blank canvas. Since then we’ve been developing LYLAC which has grown over the years into what it is today.
We’re both founding members of the “Cancer Coaching Community” (CCC), a newly founded community of professional coaches who coach people affected by cancer. What’s unique about this group is that ALL coaches have direct or indirect cancer experience and have a wide knowledge and understanding about the impact of cancer. The CCC was launched at 4th of April 2017 in London. More information can be found here.
After the completion of treatment people often feel left alone to try to handle the effects their illness.
We can help you in your recovery, both physically and mentally; to support you in supporting yourself.
We strongly believe in the principle of “Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime”. We provide the necessary tools and skills so that cancer survivors are able to support themselves now and in the future.
